Villa Aranda

Perched high above Patong, Phuket’s thriving tourist centre, the 541sqm Villa Aranda offers superb views of the Andaman Sea.

This luxurious, self-contained villa sits within the 2006-launched L’Orchidée Residence estate where each of the 25 villas are named after orchids.

With four spacious double/twin bedrooms and one smaller maid’s room, this villa is ideal for large families or groups looking to share accommodation expenses without sacrificing privacy; to be close to Phuket’s prime entertainment area but far enough away for it not to intrude.

The villa features its own 45sqm swimming pool with decking, Thai sala (gazebo) and jacuzzi in a cosy garden that all overlook Patong Bay. Split into two, the main villa houses two master suites and a third bedroom, all ensuite, together with open-plan kitchen, dining, lounge and entertainment areas. Adjacent to the main villa is a fourth ensuite bedroom opening directly onto the pool and backed by a small maid’s/fifth bedroom.

Whilst the villa is totally self contained, the estate offers an additional swimming pool (including a separate kids’ pool), gym with sauna, petanque pitch, pool table and limited shopping and entertainment facilities. However with Patong down the hill, you are a few minutes walk away from Patong beach and the thriving nightlife, shopping and restaurants of Phuket’s most popular tourist centre.

Main Villa: The main villa is on two floors. The communal areas are on the first floor which is reached by a steep stair case or a small elevator from the carport. There is a large open-plan living room with an entertainment corner complete with 42-inch Plasma Satellite TV, DVD player, stereo system and internet access; a lounge area which opens out onto a terrace with outdoor dining for eight to ten people, and an indoor dining table, also seating up to ten people. The adjacent kitchen has a large refrigerator, wine fridge, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. A barbeque is available together with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Downstairs there are two master bedrooms each with king-size bed, ensuite bathrooms and terraces with sea views. The bathrooms are spacious with separate toilet, shower stalls and whirlpool baths positioned to capture the views. The third bedroom has twin beds which can be pushed together to make a king-size bed. It is also ensuite with toilet and shower but does not have a terrace or the same views as the main suites.

Annex: Adjacent to the main villa the annex houses two more bedrooms and a roof terrace sala furnished with a daybed. One bedroom is twin-bedded (again, can be configured to a king-size). It features an ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower stall and opens directly onto the pool deck. The final bedroom at the back of the annex was designed as maid’s quarters, and so is a single room with small ensuite bathroom with wc and shower. Between the annex and main villa is an open sala with outside Jacuzzi.
