Through collective ownership of exclusive holiday residences, The Hideaways Club combines luxury property investment with a luxury lifestyle.
Since its inception, The Hideaways Club has grown steadily, largely through the recommendation of existing Members. The private investment Club like Realty Access The Hideaway Club brings together financial investment and a luxury travel lifestyle, offering multiple second homes without the management hassles of direct proprietorship.
The Hideaways Club was founded in 2006 by Stephen Wise, a former Bain & Company Senior Management Consultant, Helmut Schön, a former Corporate Financier with Merrill Lynch and UBS and Mike Balfour OBE, founder of Fitness First.

Two Property Funds, Classic and City, offer a diverse selection of exquisite villas, chalets and apartments in the world’s most sought-after destinations. Membership of The Hideaways Club unlocks more than the properties themselves – Members enjoy the services of a Personal Concierge, in-depth local knowledge and invitation-only Member events.

Perched on a cliff overlooking the spectacular Bahia de Culebra and the Pacific Ocean beyond, the 21 villas at Peninsula Papagayo sit in harmony with the surrounding rainforest.

With terraces offering views over the blue Pacific waters, private infinity pools and access to members-only resort Poro Poro, each villa is a dream Costa Rican hideaway.

Nestled on the Pacific coast hillside, these 21 villas overlook the Bahia de Culebra and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Its jagged peninsula stretches out into the warm waters of the Golfo de Papagayo. The members-only resort Poro Poro, Prieta Beach Club & Spa, a golf course and a tennis complex are all a stone’s throw away.

Each villa is built in contemporary Costa Rican style, with solid teak flooring and timber roofs held upright by tree trunks. It’s arranged in typical courtyard style around an infinity pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Inside, the décor is crafted in indigenous wood and stone. Sliding glass doors create a subtle transition between the indoor living space and the outdoor terrace. Watch the sunsets over the Pacific while monkeys swing by through the canopy of trees.

Then take one of the golf carts provided to you during your stay and explore the members-only Poro Poro resort, which is equipped with a clubhouse, a beach, an 80-foot infinity pool and more.

And when your inner explorer calls, there’s plenty to do: set sail from the world-class marina and yacht club. Zip line through the jungle treetops amid the monkeys. Raft the Rio Corbici. Paddle through the nearby sea caves in search of tortoises. Surf Ollie’s Point. Or tee off from the Arnold Palmer Signature golf course. Here, it’s easy to lose yourself in the pura vida spirit and meander wherever your wanderlust takes you.
